Hi Guys, got a £100.00 gift voucher to spend at Evans and could possibly increase it slightly.

What would you get? Other than clothing?

I was thinking of a heart rate monitor?

I have a Cateye computer that measures distance only, however i've been looking at the Bontrager Node 1 Digital Computer which 'apparently' measures the heart rate etc., but also additionally measures altitude and gradient and also Cadence and Power? And can plot graphs as well?

Or the Polar FT7M Heart Rate Monitor here:- ??

Guess it really depends what you need!

I'd go for a helmet. I need a new helmet. Do you need a new helmet? No? Then why are you asking me what I would get if you aren't going to get the same thing?

See where this is going? 8)

Evans tend to be fairly expensive but remember that they have a price match policy. You just have to take in a print out showing the cheaper price and they'll match anything they sell.

:lol::lol: That was a funny post!

I should have mentioned that i would 'like' a new helmet, however don't 'need' one...

I also would 'like' some new cycling clothes but don't 'need' them.....

I should have mentioned that i am more interested in training equipment, i have a turbo trainer but nothing like a power meter or cadence sensor etc., and also don't have a heart rate monitor either.

I've lost quite a bit of weight since cycling was originally 18.2 stone and now i'm down to 14.10, therefore don't want to go down the route of new cycling clothes 'just yet' as looking forward to loosing another 2 stone by the summer and then going out and splashing out on some nice new summer clothes like jerseys and shorts etc.,

So - basically i'm interested in ANYTHING that will assist in my training and weight loss even further! :D

I've never taken printouts in with me, just showed the webpages of better prices on my mobile or mentioned it's £xx at CRC/Wiggle. If you get the right items, your £100 voucher could end up being £140 at Evans prices.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Just looked at that, seems to be a good one, the only negative comments are regarding the size and mounting of the sensors.

The cadence feature would be a good thing especially when i mount the bike on the Turbo.

FWIW - I had one of these Polars and had no problems with it. Didn't find it particularly big. Didn't use the cadence setup though.
