Recently fitted a KMC 10sp Chain, and it is noisy as hell.
Checked the length off the old one, tried different cassettes etc, but can't figure it..
Help please..!

  • perhaps daft question but you have lubed it properly right? and it isn't slipping anywhere?
  • It was brand new, and I have now lubed it a bit more.
Would it be a fussy over being used with a not new cassette..?
Don't think it is slipping, just seems to be very notchy and noisy...

most likely because its on a slight worn cassette. it should settle down provided the cassette is not too old.

How many miles on the cassette? Did you change the chain before it was worn by measuring it?
  • to be fair, I have changed plenty of chains before and not had a problem so this problem is new to me,
The cassettes aren't that old, and changed the chain on my other bike at the same time and not had any problems, so a bit flumexed..!
