Philistine... not forgetting treacle farl, wheaten farl, toasted heel of Ormo plain loaf and a big thick slice of Veda...
Tailwind - great Facebook page raging against the pre-sliced (sacrilege) Veda.0 -
At the risk of being controversial:
Chips, when you're in the mood are a great addition.
And (going further out here):
Ratatouille
I used to live near a fantatstic Spanish caff that did their fry ups with chips and rat, and it was awesome.0 -
That will be lava bread and cockles.... quite Welsh innit? The sight of cockles is, nearly, enough to make me hurl. Last time I had cockles was on my first stag night. To be fair they may have been trying to warn me.The older I get the faster I was0

Ahh, cheers. Have to say I'm no more convinced, I do have quite a open mind when it comes to food, but that has to be the oddest Surf 'n Turf I've ever seen.0 -
Square sausage (lorne).
Tattie scones.
Black pudding.
Haggis (rounds, like black pudding)
Refried pancakes.
Plain bread.
Fruit pudding.

Lava bread can be formed into patties and rolled in oats before frying. It may improve it's appearance ....... can't say much about the taste......The older I get the faster I was0
