Here are some great vintage photos of cycling in Montreal. Pierre Gachon is included, he and two others were the first Brits to ride in the Tour.

I am remiss in that I don't think Brian Robinson has had a post about himself in this forum and a biography was just published on him and they had a book tour but I don't know how extensive, Brian Robinson is the first Brit along with Tony Hoar to finish the Tour in 1955. He is mentioned on the above BBC page.
Also, on the Pro Tour Quebec website above, check photo # 12 in the photo stream. To me that guy looks almost like Glenn Beck, trimmed down of course, Jules Audy, another great Canadian racer in autumn gear it looks like.
