Microshift compatibility

Ok so i have bought a new CX bike today it came with microshift, the hoods are horrible.

I understand that it is interchangeable with shimano, but could i buy some Campag shifters (as i can get these cheaper).

When i upgrade my main road bike in the summer i may end up putting dura ace mechs on it, will i then be able to use my ultegra mechs with campag shifters?

The shift spacing which is governed by your shifters is different on Campag and Shimano. Shimergo can be made to work but my impression is it's adequate as opposed to right. There are loads of threads on forums re shimergo

yeah thats what i thought, looks like i'll have to buy some 105 shifters then otherwise my ultegra mechs will be going to waste
