  • nah that would just be awesome loads of powe and control with minimal heat issues. only downside is weight
  • Are they vented rotors?
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

I'd estimate less that 1% of MTB rotors in service are vented. Vented is where the rotor has a gao through the middle of the rotor for additional heat dissapation.

    Holes count as vents surely?
  • I think that by a vented rotor he means this sort of thing:

You can see the gap running down the middle of the rotor, a bit like two rotors stuck together.

I didn't even realise you could get that sort of design for mountain bikes.

Me neither. Interesing though i see no use for them on an MTB.

So how does it work?I can't see a cable-splitter anywhere(unless it's behind the fork brace?) and it's obviously from the US/EU as the front brake lever is on the left.

If you look at the left hand caliper you can see two hose brake hoses.

I i say, a bit overkill, unless your 20st+ and you need a shed loads of power to stop/slow.
Good idea though. Just thinking, what would be better, 2x 160 rotors or 1x 203? (A vented 203 if heat dispersal is an issue)
