I've wanted to do the same thing to have as a city bike, and leave it in Vienna so I can ride to Uni rather than having to catch the underground.
Dr. Jekylls are on the top of my list.0 -
Mine was built for getting to uni and for a bit of street on the way home
I did think about suspension but I started on a fully rigid so I went with the Rebates. Plus the tyres are massive so that will help.0 -
Nice bike dude, glad you got there in the end and finally found the right mech hanger thought the bike looked a tad familiar when i saw this post :P0

Cheers Nick,
this build was a mission but well you will see how much fun it is at uni
pi*s off snow!!0 -
nice build, though for what you're using it for, i'd have gone for singlespeed and only a rear brake, personally0

still may go ss yet it depends. At the moment I need some use of gears.
I do like have both brakes I have tried running other bike with one brake and I hated it.
thanks for the comments though0 -
love the wheels !!!0

glad no one noticed my cranks being on out of line
note to self do not do bike building whilst trying to beat insomnia.0 -

We have now, so may want to get that sorted! haha0 -
Pik n Mix,
Can i ask what the hookworms are like in width? I'm debating getting some to put on a single speed i'm building but need to know if they'll fit. I know Maxxis tyres can come up a bit thinner sometimes so wondered whether they were the 2.5 they quote?0
