Thanks for your reply .
I am at present trying to fit some manatu forks into a cape wrath frame ,the frame came with a headset in situe, but the forks don't have any Crown race bearing washer? on them.
After searching further I think I may have three options
1) replace the headset which will come with crown bearing
2) take it to my LBS and have a new headset and forks fitted (any idea of price ?)
or
3) find and buy seperately a crown race bearing
any suggestions welcome

Forks don't come with a crown race, it's specific to the headset - what's on the frame at the moment?I don't do smileys.

The crown race will be sitting on the old forks that came off the bike. No need to buy a new headset, just get the race off the old one.0

Thank you for you're replies
Had a word with the tech at the LBS and he will have a look and advice as to wether he can use the existing headset or if I require a new one, and then assemble the forks. labour cost a tenner plus parts" supplied by me if i wish" sounnd a fair price to me?
p.s he as a good rep0
