Altura jacket fit

Anyone here wear an Altura jacket? I'm looking at a Large one which seems to fit my chest measurement, but I'm 6'4 so a bit sceptical about the length, especially when on the bike with a pack on my back.

It's usually the case that a larger size just means it's wider and not longer, is this the same for Altura? Can anyone who wears a Large one comment?

When I was trying jackets I found all the Altura's just too dang short. I tried Enduras and Gore and needed XXL in both, but both were a better fit in terms of arm length and across the shoulders.

I'm 6'4" and 44" chest.

The only advice I can really offer is get thee to a shop and try them on - it's a better way to be certain.

.....and there's nowt worse than a jacket that prefers your elbows to your wrists!

I'm 6' average lean 14.6 stone frame and I have the XL Nevis an it's just the right side of roomy - for the Nevis at 6.4 you need the XL and problem solved if you can get to a cycling shop. Evans always has Altura kit in. I'm happy with the jacket, btw.

Cheers for the info guys. I rarely if ever buy any clothes without trying them first, but I don't really live that close to a shop selling Altura stuff (closest is probably about 30miles from here).

The deal I saw was online and quite respectable (not far off half price but only XS and L left in stock).

I've read some reviews of the jacket in question and wearers have said the sleeves are of a decent length, and that it's longer at the back. It's cut to fit while you're on the bike rather than wandering around off it, so I think I might just go for it. I can always get a refund it it doesn't fit.
