Looks nice. I have got my glow in the dark 456 SS frame. Trying to decide on components and waiting for CRC to send the right forks.
Going for a bit of a heavy duty build with mine with DH wheels, 6" forks and minimal gearing
  • that's what i'm heading for too, though maybe not quite d/h wheels! Gonna spray the forks black with some custom lime green graphics until i can afford some high end domains or something similar (will get same treatment)

I have got some Domains, unfortunately CRC told me the old stock 2008 model had a 1 1/8" steerer but they turned up with 1 1/2". Will try to exchange for another set, if not I will get a set of Sektor coil u-turns.
GITD green does look surprisingly nice in the light and very cool in the dark. Cant wait to get mine built, still need a lot of bits though.
  • It is a fantastic colour....just difficult to coordinate! Some superstar tecnho lime switch evo hubs with black am490 rims are next on my list i reckon...that way can get some maxle forks when i can afford!
  • A few updates :)

Apologies for the dodgy flash, room was badly lit and couldn't seem to sort it, shows the green nicely though! Since original pic the following has gone on:

    Magura Louise Carbon rear brake
    Hayes Stroker Carbon front brake
    Gold Superstar plasma chain device
    Gold Superstar Uno headset
    Shimano HG93 chain
    Gold Hope seatclamp

Next to be done: Green gear cables & Hoses, forks resprayed black with custom lime green graphics, Sram pg970 cassette waiting to go on and XT 9spd shifter coming when stock arrives at crc
  • Lol awesome bike,

Very nice. Please don't fit green cables, they won't look nice.

  • That looks stellar. Loving the GITD. I have one myself, same size too. How tall are you?
  • am 6'2 yet even the 20" feels slightly short when going cross country, however i do plan to put an even shorter stem on (in gold) to make it more chuckable, im sure i can forego some efficiency now my racing days are gone!
