Hope you all feel better soon. In my limited experience some Sudafed combined with traditional Highland 12 year old cough medicine work wonders (the single malt varieties are the most effective).

Training? Don't make me laugh? Just being up and about would be nice. I've been housebound for nearly two full weeks now. Most of the traditional flu symptoms have been gone for about 3 days now but just getting up the stairs is still a major challenge. I am just a shell of a person and tbh it's been quite scary. I'm seeing gradual signs of improvement but ride a bike, nah. I'm not even certain I'll be back at work on the 4th.
  • Suffering myself with it, Grandson had it two days before Chjristmas, I volunteered to do the child-minding (He was sick at nursery, thus had to be sent home and they wouldn't have him back next day).
I succumbed on Sunday, managed to get 2 half barrows of horse shit off the paddock yesterday, before retiring drenched in sweat.

It's a difficult balance to get right. I went back to work way too soon. I was self-employed, and wasn't earning anything whilst being ill, so ended up working through my recovery. I suspect that meant that my recovery was much slower.

    EDIT
BTW, despite flu cases 'having risen by 45% in a week', this still only represents 1.24 people in 1,000. Fortunately it's rare, usually.
