Road / Weather conditions near Poole

This doesn't especially belong on the 'beginners forum', but I don't really know where to stick.
I'm due to be heading down to Poole for Christmas and was planning to take my winter road bike to get a few rides in. However, if the weather is as cold as it is in London and if the roads are as snowy, that would just be a waste of time. Could anybody based in that neck of the woods let me know what conditions are like?

Most of the snow has melted and the majority of roads are clear., maybe a few icy patches on the side roads.
