Cake/Pie Question.

When I went to macro I picked up some mince pies.

They look like your normal pastry based mince pies but...

These have a pastry outer, mincemeat at the bottom, cake as the upper filling and then a bit of icing on top.

WFT am I eating? pie, cake or is it a piake?

unfortunately, said piake was devoured in a matter of seconds, i will be going for more though!

12 for £4 and they're as big as my fist!

My grandmother used to make mince pies with a cakey-type bit instead of a pastry top, they were lovely!

I know the ones, my dad introduced me to them a few weeks ago, and we've been pigging out to the point of obscenity on them ever since.

i like the ones which are normal but the pastry top is replced with icing, no cakeyness in there, just icing.

ahhh man they're sickly. gorgeous, but I can't eat one without a brew and I can't eat more than 1 in a sitting!

that sounds weak, but i agree baout the brew. i dont know why mince pies arent sold with teabags.
