Cassette biting into freehub body

I am just changing over my bike onto my cheap winter wheels, and planning on getting outdoors over xmas (weather permitting).
When I came to remove my Ultegra cassette I found that it had bitten into the freehub body, these wheels (Bontrager RXL) have probably not done more than 600 miles and it seems to have happened on the 4th cog (14T), while I'd like to think that this is (Image http://twitpic.com/3hv60u ) - is caused by the massive power I'm able to generate - sadly I think that this cannot be true.
Should I expect more from a £500 set of wheels?

It's the price you pay for having light wheels with an alloy free hub body. Don't worry about it, i have 3 indents like that on a tiagra hub. It can make removing the cassette a pain, but doesn't seem to adversely affect anything. If you want to fix it though I believe dura ace free hub bodies have higher splines to prevent it happening.Dolan Preffisio

This explains what's going on...

A SRAM 10sp cassette doesn't have the deeper spline-grooves so may not dig-in in the same way0 -
Also happens if your cassette lockring isn't tight enoughMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
