Toying with the idea of getting a Nukeproof Mega next year which specs a 135mm Maxle at rear.
Was planning on swapping all my kit over from my 456 and getting a conversion kit for my standard Hope pro 2 rear hub but maxle breaking scare stories on the interfora and Nick's comments on here leaving me a bit confused .

Am I worrying unecessarily or should I be saving for a new back wheel too?
Also are maxles usually supplied with frames or with new wheels or do you have to buy one separately.Any Maxle recommendations or ones to avoid? Not bothered about Maxle/axle weights just don't want it to break!

as long as the axle is not waisted there are no issues ( well no big ones) the main thing about the problems people seem to have been having is with axels that flex as on the 12mm axle size the walls of the internal Hope Alloy axle are too thin and as this is inside the hub body and has a lot of work to do. Ideally Hope should do a steel axle for the hub.

here is an exploded view of the Bulb and the Pro2.
