what sort of riding will you use them for most?

    are you upgrading to...

    cut weight?

    lower drag?

    other reason?

    what're the current wheels/weight?
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
  • They will be for cutting weight mainly and a little more rigidity hopefully
As the i can feel the current standard bont wheels flexing when pushing hard.

Current bike is a trek 1.5 compact 2010 btw.

Merlin cycles has the RS80's for £320, I would go for them, probably the best weight for the money.

Or Pro Lite Braccianos, they are cheaper by around £70, and only weight 100g more.
And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Ribble sell the prolites for much less than that, when they are in stock. They are about the same weight as the RS80s but lots of reports of broken spokes and they don't sound easy to have fixed. I just got the RS80s, for £290 from CRC, they are my first quality wheels and so far I am impressed.

  • Planet x have the Fulcrum racing 3's for £275 a bargain i think?
    Giant Trance X3
    Boardman Limited Edition Carbon #344
BMC Streetfire ssx( converted to flat bar Hybrid)
  • that does seem like a bargain. think i may go for the fulcrum 3's for 275 it would be rude not to, although they have 1's for 400 which is tempting.....
  • I've just ordered the RS80s - there are so many positive comments about these wheels, I just had to have a set for my Cayo.
