chritmas holiday so i'm gonna be lazy. waiting for my gloves to arrive(hopefully) also be staying inside all day. when i put the ill sturgeon ion a salty water bath i left it outside so that theres not a dramatic temeparture change and the water froze a fair bit and that took about 10mins so yeah it's super cold out there, about -5 apparently0

Off to the big smoke to pick up my brand new, secondhand Boardman
It's on some kind of hybrid road tyres at the moment so the ride home in the snow and ice should be interesting to say the least!
After that it's a day of dog walking and Xbox0 -

Morning campers.
Today is full of snow and illness. The boss is off, as are a few minions, so I'm running things with minimal staff. Yay. Still, most of my work has been done for now, so it should be a lazy day.. majority of Soldiers have finished for xmas, which means less work for me, which = win.
The roads are hectic, really slippery, so today is the first day this year that I gave cycling in a miss, which made me sad0 -

I don't get it, I'm here to serve the Soliders (ahem ), yet they've finished, and I'm here until 4.30 xmas eve, then back on Jan 4th, when most units here are back 10th Jan. Grr, stoopid contractual agreements. :evil:0 -

Fair play, I now have reason to be back on the 4th! (Edit - although I only deal with Aldershot & Salisbury)
And yup, totally sucks mate, but, last xmas eve, I spent the morning sleeping at my desk, then took an hours lunch, then slept for the afternoon.. my kinda work day!
Used to have to work on xmas day in my old job, that sucked even more.0 -

Something I would prefer to not imagine, but thanks for that.. I'd do the same, but the o/h's folks are over from Spain this Xmas, so no pant sitting for me..0

Good Morning, I've had a pretty awesome weekend.
What's number 66? I've looked on a few sites and they all have different songs.0 -

Afternoon everyone. Work is dull. That is all.It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

It's a thoroughly brilliant song.0 -
I am ill, got me a cold. Woke up at 5AM and thought it's better I remain in bed, then the reality of being in a new job with a new employer kicked in, so I got myself up, had a shave and shower. Mistake..
I left a window open in the Discovery and it froze up inside last night (I am using it while my company car is on order) so I almost got frostbite from the steering wheel and drove wearing my 661 "Raji" gloves that came free with a MB magazine subscription way back when.
Anyway I froze my a$$ off driving to work and it took forever for the heaters to get up to temp, then resulting in an internal monsoon as the ice melted from inside the car's interior. Epic fail!
Got to my place of employment only to find new carpets had been laid over the weekend as well as new office furniture so I spent two hours moving [my office] crap around and crawling under desks connecting all the abovementioned crap up while sniffing and swallowing life changing amounts of snot.
If I feel shyte tomorrow I am doing a sickie, not freakin' negotiable. Meh!0 -
quiet day in the office.
Had an email from one of the bosses stating that some people can leave early etc. Work colleague gets excited, I remind him, that's only if our boss let's us. He argues his points on safety blah blah. Boss tells us we're not leaving early. Sulking = peace and quiet
Might kick back about 3 and read an ebook on the phone0 -
Morning.
good/bad weekend here. Good was saturday night out with riding buddies and eating a mental kangeroo and ostrich curry. Bad being stuck in the car with two very vocal kids for 3 hrs less than 4 miles from home.
Yesterday finally finished reading Augusts MBUK as been too mentally busy to actually concentrate in reading it. turns out my bikes in there and it gets a good review. also towards the back it has a good artical on 29ers. (you probably already know all this because your all not 4 months behind)
Anywhoooo0
