Depends on who built them - it's a fairly ubiquitous, reliable buildMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Strength - depends on the build but should be pretty tough.
Weight - around 1.8kg depending on spokes.
Decent write-up on em here, but with 5600 hubs.

I have some Open Pros on Shimano 600 hubs (Ultegra) made my DH. I've had them about 8 years and they're still true. Not particularly light, but good solid wheels. They are on my commuting bike and I must have put about 20,000 miles on them. I re-grease the hubs once a year and they've still got a lot of life left in them.0

Pro-Lite Bracciano are the lightest around for the money, and still semi hand built

Never dealt with personally, never heard one good word said about him.0 -
Seriously, give Harry Rowland a call (01843 597443)

I have a set of his Mavic Open Pro wheels and I will not buy wheels from anyone else now. They are as true and strong as the day they went on. Really good service and I doubt you will hear a bad word about his wheel building skills. Give him a call and he will happily chat about your requirements.0 -

Am I glad I read this thread.... I was considering a purchase from DH but definitely won't be going that route now.
