^That - 1" is quite a large amount, try it somewhere in the middle for a while to ge used to the difference.

Or try tilt the saddle slightly, as that can make a big difference.
And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

You will be sitting further forward on the saddle so move the saddle forwards a bit. One inch is quite a big jump.

Raise sadlle in stages of 2 or 3 mm a time until you find the right level for you. An inch is far too much in one go - no wonder you're uncomfortable

    Big H

May the road rise up to meet you.

is it at the correct height for you? if you don't know the correct height then you need to either get a proper bike fit or determine it yourself, as a guide look at the 8th post in this thread http://www.roadcyclinguk.com/forum/foru ... TN/117624/

sorry to ask the obvious, but you are wearing padded shorts aren't you?

maybe the saddle is just the wrong size for you, too wide/narrow at the sit bones will be uncomfortable

+1 - the saddle has gone back a bit as you raised it, so you need to slide it forward a tad to compensate.
  • Cheers guys, only just had bike so very initial set up before fine tuning.

Small adjustments! Took me a few months & a very painful few days on tour including developing a lovely tankle to get my set up correct a few mm at a time.
