Cycling saves me money - how?

I finally dragged my sorry ass onto the exercise bike this morning. It is kept in a detached garage (the bike not my ass).

The going in temp was 0.5c (outside -6c). After 30 mins the inside temp had risen to 1.7c which is above the level of the frost guard and so the heaters switched off!

Money saved!

I am so glad I don't share a house with you, I'd be freezing my nuts off!

He's talking about the frost guard heater in his garage, not his house  1.7 C is about right.
