Winter Freezing

after coming back from a ride on my new rockhopper this evening i realised it had little dirt on it, however had loads of frozen water/dirty water droplets everywhere.
Due to the hosepipe being frozen the best i could do was wipe it down, but even after that the water had already frozen before i could dry it! there was frozen slush in-between the chainrings and chain, plus the brake leavers had completely locked up.
just wondering what the best thing to do in this situation is. i store my bike in a summer house outside so its not going to be thawing out until the next warm spell unless i bring it indoors to clean and dry.
does anyone know what the affects of ice are compared to water lying on the bike, and how best to treat it?
cheers

Washed mine last week & it totaly froze solid  put in the kitchen over night on a couple of old sheets to soak up the melt water. Next morning lubbed it up & put it back in the shed1991 Kona Cinder Cone in Cinder Gold

Buy yourself a bike cleaner hand pump spray unit from Halfords or somewhere for about £20 fill with hot water from tap wash job done.

The hot water will just cool and freeze again though, unless it's brought inside.
Nothing wrong with keeping a bike in frezzing conditions, it needs to be dry & lubbed though.0
