Hi everyone,i'm thinking about investing in a pair of winter boots, something like specialized defrosters or something similar, however as i only ride flat pedals wondered if these would be ok.
many thanks for any feedback..............

I've got Specialized Defrosters, and while they're a great boot I can't imagine using them with flat pedals (great for SPD's though). I would consider just getting a good pair of Gortex walking boots.

+1 for walking boots when it gets really bad.

I just wear walking boots for serious cold or wet, you may lose a bit of grip but its far less than the grip you'd lose with cold wet numb feet.

As long as they don't freeze up, spds do make yanking the bike through deep snow a bit easier. I was half glad to have them and half hating them today!
