Road riding in Singapore?

Hi,

Does anyone know what the road riding scene is like in Singapore? (Other than hot and sticky?)

    Not done it myself, but have done lots in Indonesia, just over the water.

    I have some friends who live there and the biggest challenge it seems is the traffic is pretty fast and have no respect for bikes.

    Most of them say they would never cycle on main roads, but to be honest, people say that about lots of places and I still do.

    It must be nice though to get out of the centre on a bike, its a lovely place.

    Short answer to your question is No, I have a clue, but do let us know if you do it.

    On the way from the airport, I saw loads of roadies riding on some kind of cycle lane running alongside the road, through the local park. Apparently it's a big loop that they all flock to on weekends. However, I don't remember seeing any cyclists on the road while I was there. Not much respect from car drivers was the reason given.
