If they're as good as the brakes, they'll be great. If they're as good as the hubs, they won't be great. So hard to predictUncompromising extremist0

One Italian Brake company and the other a Taiwan parts OE parts makers."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Are they even at the "out for review" stage? I had the impression they were just prototypes at the moment.0

The master has spoken....will be buying Fox again0 -
They look like a Magura crown with Fox lowers, and 15mm is pointless IMO.
Buy a Magura insteadAnd now you know, and knowing is half the battle

It's heavier than 20mm and less stiff. The only benefit to 15mm is that it can be used to make a smaller lighter hub (or a same sized hub with bigger bearings) but in practice that doesn't usually happen since people just make big hubs with downsizing kits instead. It's a crap standard that unfortunately seems to be winning Unfortunately most people just assume 15mm is lighter, even journos do it.Uncompromising extremist0

Presumably Shimano must see a benefit to it to make compatible hubs? and Fox to make compatible forks?0

Fox and Shimano worked together on it, thats why
It is a bit silly but many many people can't notice the loss of stiffness and those that do and care that much should be running super stiff forks like Lyriks or 36's anyway IMHO0 -

Fox and Shimano see it as a benefit to push their own standard rather than the competition's standard, obviously. though ironically it's Shimano's hub designs that struggle with multiple standards.Uncompromising extremist0 -

Basically that, 20mm can also have nice big bearings that last longer. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle
