    Congratulations!

I was only on JSA for 3 months after being made redundant, but it was bloody rubbish (Dec-Feb) and felt like ages.

Well done, sounds like an enjoyable role. I have just applied for a new job, using my current skills but hopefully in a way that will be of a benefit to my community. Fingers crossed the forum job fortune will rub off on me!

Brilliant - with "100,000 to lose jobs by spring" on the front page of today's paper it's good to see someone winning against the odds.

The very best of luck with it. Its great to enjoy work (only ever had one crap job - shovelling rotten meat when I was a student. The flies and maggots nearly made me a veggie.)

  • Nice one. A very sincere congratulations.

I was made redundant on 1'st Nov, but was extremely lucky to pretty much move straight into another job which I started last week. (I chose to delay my start by a few weeks) .Not only is it with a better company and a much higher salary, but after working 4 days they've just paid me until 1'st Jan ! ! ! :D I was expecting to have to work a month before getting paid.

I'll have to try the "can I have a new bike to celebrate" argument with my wife.
