Exposure Lights Life Expectancy

Hi, I bought an Exposure Enduro Maxx front light just over 12 months ago. I used it last winter, obviously it had the summer off and then I started using it for commuting and off-road riding again this autumn.
During the last few rides I have noticed that the battery doesn't seem to be lasting as long as previously. On mainbeam the light is indicating it is running out of juice after about an hour.
1. Is this normal
2. If not why is it now struggling
3. Can the battery function be recovered.
Cheers JS

I've just been reading an Exposure manual (I'm really bored!), and it says that you should charge it and discharge at least once per month to ensure that he battery life is not reduced.
I think that they have a 2 year warranty so you should get in contact with the retailer that you purchased it from so they can send it back for you. A word of warning; it recently took 4 weeks to turn around my 2011 mk5 Joystick!Somewhere in the Surrey Hills :-)0 -
This is the main reason Exposure's ridiculously expensive bike-torches are actually worse than a cheap regular torch with easily replaced batteries. But, their backup is very good, so get in touch with them- it's not exactly a warranty issue if you didn't care for the battery right but they're usually helpful.Uncompromising extremist0

Got a joystick just going into it's third winter. I have been charging it over the summer as required, and the battery life is still fine as far as I can tell.
I've got a Magicshine as well, not that it works. Not that impressed with it- the build quality is not good. Battery protection circuit has died, case is broken, and it's only done about 3 rides at the end of last winter and one this one before giving up. It does chuck out a lot of light for not much money, but I'd probably go for a bigger exposure light next time. Worth it for the simple fact that I don't want a light that gives out on me halfway round a night ride.Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0 -
Hi I have been using my Exposure Enduro Maxx for over three years now and it's still going strong! I always charge the battery from the red or flashing red indicators.0
