    I was unsure whether to buy her album for a Xmas present for my aunty. So, I downloaded it from the newsgroups to listen and make my mind up - what a waste of time! It's absolutely crap. "Perfect Day" is by far the best song so you can imagine what the rest of the songs are like.

    I happily deleted it with 35 wipes of Gutmann file deletion to prevent any embarrassing undeletes in the future.

    It would be a boring place if we all had the same tastes. I know quite a few older people who enjoy that kind of 'easy listening' music. It's not my personal taste but then I doubt an elderly aunt would enjoy listening to Justic For All.

    Its not so much the fact its easy listening or a bit different, its the straight up cheesieness, exploitativeness and downright crappieness of it that just beggars belief.

    Well judging by her first album sales it seems there are a lot of people that like cheesy, exploitative crap (see also Jane McDonald, Michael Ball and in the not-to-distant future Mary Byrne). The fact is that a lot of people don't like their music to be challenging. I even have a colleague in his early 30s who claims that SuBo's version of Wild Horses is better than the original - I nearly wet myself laughing!

    Well to be fair to SuBo she doesn't have the worst voice around and in someways quite easy listening, that's why I was going to buy the album as a present. I think the main prioblem is most of the tracks are swarming with reverb, overdubbs, blending synths, choirs etc. making it very bland listening. It doesn't have a personality or identity to hook you in to listen.

    It feels cheaply made and the tracks on the album are clearly for monetary reasons at Christmas rather then artistic and certainly don't suit SuBo's voice.
