Not the most interesting of interviews but worth a skim. Nice photos too : )

She is a peach but back to cycling if that is possible, this doesn't sound so good.....

Lizzie’s comment is a slight understatement. A vast portion of arguably the best women’s team on the planet split off for greener pastures. In fact, only four riders remain from the original Cervélo team: Emma Pooley, Lizzie Armitstead, Sharon Laws, Iris Slappendel. The new additions are: Noemi Cantele, Trine Schmidt, Jesse Daams, and Lucy Martin. A fourteen rider superteam pared down to eight.

and no Robinson Camp either, so I won't see them in Portugal - Drats.

Great interview - I had the pleasure of meeting and riding with Lizzie (as well as Iris Slappendel and Emma Pooley) a few weeks ago in Portugal. And all I can say is she is a very genuine and relaxed person - happy to chat and have a laugh. We had a very random conversation about X-factor at one point!!

Hope they have a great season in 2011, and with the strength of the British female riders we should have a great 2012 as well :D

    Indeed.

I'm guessing the editor had a word limit of some kind, as there's no mention whatsoever in the article of her fancying me rotten.
  • she is stunning and a very good bike rider too, i find it funny how she 'didn't want to waste a christmas present on a bike' .
