South West trails suitable for beginner

I have almost got my On One Summer Season built up now, with 6.5" forks, big brakes & DH wheels etc.
What trails would be good for me to learn to ride harder, I'm reasonably quick/confident on red/black xc type trails (Whites Level etc). I'm not used to riding big jumps etc yet so want to build up to that.
I have rode some of the Rowbarrow Warren trails on the Mendips & they are pretty good fun but not too tough, should I try building speed on these trails and hitting the jumps harder before riding harder trails?
