...........yes,after barely 2 and half months into ownership I've realized the mighty Zesty 714 2010 was not singing for me so I've decided to put it on the market and make funds for a more simple Stumpjumper FSR Elite 2011. Call me crazy but I can't resist Spesh's tubular and simple design. And I had enough of carbonfiber for a while... :lol:
Lucky chap will get a barely used Zesty at a great price.... :?

    Why bother going from one 140mm design to another?

    And at least get the Stumpy Evo.

    2500 Euro.

    Yes the Stumpy is another 140 but I'm drooling over the brain technology and I like the general simpler look of the american rigs. No,never tested a Stumpy before,I will be in California next week so maybe I will have a chance there.

    brain = a bit of a gimmick.

    OK, it works, but, a well set up pro-pedal shock with the right pressure/sag and rebound will ride just as nice, unless you are super human or at the top of your game, I really doubt you will notice the brain.

    I've ridden an RP23bv back to back with a spesh brain shock and in all fairness, its not an option that would sway me away from an incredible bike (zesty)

    There must be somethimg OP didnt like about the bike, I may attempt to guess ... was it a sega rally style darty steering? XC bikes are very well known for that.

    I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

    Do it. If you're not getting on with the Zesty, no point keeping it if youre not happy.

    Bit weird to swap to a bike you've never even tried though. Each to their own!

    naaaa...not really,my X control feels like that,the Zesty is perfect. Is just that I feel like is a way too posh bike for it's intended use and I see myself refraining to push it's limit for that. I mean,don't get me wrong it's a stunning rig and it still amazes me the way it climbs but lookwise and style wise there's a very thin line between this AM bike and her bigger XC-XControl 910 sister. I mean....gimme some goddam white,plain and simple aluminum tube to trash :twisted: :twisted: !!!!

    I suspect that OP is somehow not emotionally attached to a bike. Zesty in that guise does look to me like a tarty pornstar. Some can thrash them, while others can't?
    Change bike then, surely Plain Jane is as capable! :-)

    And to prove it somewhere we have a pic of popstar getting intimate with his Zesty.

    If you like the Zesty, why not swap the frame for an alloy one and cash your way. Less posh, and you still have the handling of the Zesty which you like.

    Hmmm, an interesting analogy..... I'm going down to the shed to slap my bike around - slag.
