Shimano LX shifters

Hi Guys....
Do i have to get LX specific shifters to replace the old ones or will any shimano shifters do? It's just that new LX ones are like £60-£70 :shock:
My bike had a meeting with a height restriction barrier in a carpark on sunday and lost, my shifter smashed.

Ahhhh now thats more like it. I had a quick look on CRC and the only LX shifters i could find were £64 i think :?
also while we're here could any body recomend a decent freeride or downhill saddle (my saddle also took a beating from so said barrier)0 -

SRAM's attack range are also Shimano compatable....
