Campag Ultra torque Drag....

I have had a new Compact Ultra Torque chainset fitted with the non ceramic BB. Following the change I can't help thinking that there is some additional drag on the chainset turn that exists regardless of gear. Is it possible that the ultra toque unit is fitted too tightly to the BB so there is additional friction?

Has anyone experienced similar problems??

Sounds normal. UT chainsets with the outboard BB cups don't spin as freely as a cartridge BB arrangement.

bigger diameter axles need bigger seals which have a greater contact surface witch seem to give more friction when new. it does get less with use.

Hi there, does 'loosen up' with use. Comparing drag with other systems I have (Sram GXP and Raceface X-type), Campag spi n up much better.
