Which fork???

I'm sure this has probably been covered before and if so I'm sorry...
My Diamondback DBX Race bike came equipped with a set of Suntour XCR forks...
Last week I compressed the front suspension as I always do when leaving the bike shed (no idea why, just habit I guess) but this time the fork only compressed a couple of cm before hitting a solid stop!
Fearing that something serious was up with the fork, I removed it from the bike and dis-assembled it. Then I separated the stanchions I discovered that the fork seal had leaked and this had allow the forks to fill up with water that had frozen solid in the cold weather (that’ll do it )
Looking at the disassembled forks it was obvious that the seals had probably been leaking for some time as there is quite a lot of corrosion on the inner part of the forks!
Anyway, the upshot of all this is that the fork is probably FUBAR and needs replacing and I was wondering what forks would be best?
I don’t do much off road riding and when I do it tends to be along trains rather than the flying down the side of the mountain type of riding. The bike is primarily used as a day to day commuter…
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
