Slight dent in downtube - big problem?

Hiya,
On cleaning my bike this morning I noticed the down tube (one the seat goes into) has got a 2-3mm deep dent down near the bottom. It's quite shallow, the paint's not broken but the frame is BMC's special aluminum alloy and I know that aluminum can be tricky sometimes.
Is this going to be a problem to the extent my frame could fail? Is it possible to get little dings like this popped out again?
Never had to worry about things like this before - always been on steel

So no big issue then I take it
I've just been reading some dire warnings from across the forums and it rather put the wind up me.FCN 4 - BMC CX020 -
without pics it is impossible to say."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Err, 'Down-Tube' goes from head-tube (headset) to BB shell (where your bottom bracket hides).
'Seat-Tube' is where you can shove your seat-pin/post.FCN16 - 1970 BSA Wayfarer
