Hi,
Trying to format a Dell Inspiron Laptop after a virus killed it. I've gone through the recommended re-format , partition process. Laptop now hangs at "Setup is preparing your computer for first use". It's been there for about 1 hour 30 mins and when I try and reboot, I always get the same screen. Any tips? It's Windows 7.

Sounds like something is corrupt, is it on a DVD?0

Could be all sorts of issues mate.
Bad sectors on the Hard Drive? Try running Scan Disk and fixing the bad sectors before running windows setup.0 -
