I currently have Specialized The Captain tyres fitted and while I have not had any major problems with them, I have noticed that when they are on wet soil they clog up and slide everywhere.

It is not often that I will ride on such soggy ground.

Is there any other tubeless tyre that people would recommended?

Bontrager XR4, they seem to work very well in most conditions. Very impressed with them on my Trance.

Hutchinson Toro Tubeless is a pretty good allrounder and has widely spaced knobs that don't get clogged. I have a WTB Prowler 2.1 on the front this winter and it's been pretty good in the muck. It has a directional tread and seems to track pretty well in soggy conditions. It's a bit narrow for its claimed width but that's not an issue in the mud. I have also run a Maxxis Advantage in the winter, which is another good multi-purpose tire. Lots of people recommend the Bonty Mud-X and Specialized Storm Control for winter conditions (mud, wet, more mud) but I haven't tried them out. The tread on the Storm Control looks exactly like the tread on the Toro so should be a decent allrounder.
  • i love my kenda nevegal all right for mud (they clear quickly) and low rolling resistance there not too expensive eighter :D
