Anyone had one? Basically I'm now 8 days post op and am only taking pain killers before bed and when i wake in the morning (Co Codamol 15/500 & 8/500 ) Now i'm wondering how long it took you to get back on your mountain bikes? Also i'm really hankering after going to the pub to watch the footy on sunday.

Now I feel fine, just a bit slower and less energetic than usual, and I'm not lifting anything more than a light bag of shopping at the moment as i still have stiches in which are due out monday.

Reckong its pushing it a bit walking for 5 mins up the hill to the pub to have a few beers?

my mate a double fixed a couple of years ago.

6 weeks...but longer for full stomach strength.

if concerned about the walk...take a taxi...

  • Stomach feels fine apart from the stich moving and rubbing a bit.

Had it done private this time and i'm recovering alot quicker than under the NHS treatment.
  • Why are you recovering quicker?

Just seems like a better job! The cut is bigger than last time, but doesn't feel like my belly is going to pop open any minute. Just sore when sitting up. Now last time i spend 8 days in bed drugged up.

    How you getting on?

I'm due an op next month, but I'm right into my Triathlon training for my 1st race in April.

Thinking about putting it off until September as it's only small and not painful.

Any other info you can give about everything?

    Thanks,

    Pat...
