Been looking at the New Trek marlin SS 29er in my LBS.
Been riding a 29er for a while mow but never a SS and fancy giving it a go. This bike is pretty cheap at £450 and a good starting point for me, especially as I am currently in the middle of a RIP 9 new build.
Has anyone ridden one of these? If I was to buy one I would ditch the sus forks and go with some On-One carbon rigids and throw on some cheap hope mono minis rather than the cable's on there as standard.
I just see the frame as a long term ongoing project.
Cheers

HELLo-:
I work at the bike shop, it's gonna be the valentine day gift for myself;) It's the same frame as used on the Rig(US single speed version with higher spec), the good news: you can buy geared dropout should you don't fancy the SS mode... also thinking about ditching the Suntour's and fitting rigids tho! Only ridden round the shop, but the brakes doesn't seem to be the worst either! Definitelly worth buying!
Cheers,
