Whinlatter route conditions?
Hi all,
Am off to Whinlatter and northern lakes this sunday for a couple of days riding, anyone got an update on how snowy /icy Altura trails are at the moment? Also, what are the rides in grizedale forest like in comparison to Whinlatter (which I love)!
Cheers

Give the cyclewise shop a ring at the visitors centre to check condtions 017687 78711.
Also if you view the live keswick webcam it should give you a good idea of trail condtions

Also the forestry website contains up to date info on the trails

Hope it helps!0 -
Grizedale has some fantastic stuff.... But not much on the NFT TBH. Lots of brilliant bridleways to go at, check out here for more info:

I'm going to Whinlatter tomorrow so will try to remember to update in here afterwards.
Grizedale is superb if you stay OFF the North Face!
The route over from Low Parkamoor then descent down to just south of Satterthwaite is great but my favourite is the Nibthwaite descent.Current Bikes:

Sorry didn't go to Whinlatter in the end, did a route round Ullswater. No snow until you get to about 500m and then it was only in the shaded areas so I imagine Whinlatter will be fine.Current Bikes:
