Absolute top stuff.
“I read an interview with Umberto Veronesi, a scientist, a reputed oncologist and Minister for Health,” Cipollini continued. “In five hundred years or more, human beings might have both sets of genitalia, male and female. I don’t want this evolution to have started already in cycling…”0 -

And this from a man who wore tiger-print leotards and uses industrial quantities of hair products.
Whats the Italian for "metrosexual"?
Good to see he hasn't got sense in his old age.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -
he doesn't say it in that article but i bet he loves cav0

Didn't he say once that he'd like to die in an orgy?Let's close our eyes and see what happens0

Sprinters.
Sigh. Real men.
Wonder what Cipo has to say about the Buddhist.0 -
Have to say, I err on the side of agreement when he's discussing the friendship between arch rivals and their behaviour when they lose?
Have they not read the end of the rider?0 -
The good old days, when men were measured by the thickness of their blood. Having your testostrone levels measured in litres just isn't allowed anymore... shame.0

On the subject of Cipo, I noticed last month that his bike company has a women's team for next season:

It made me think of this character from the Fast Show:

If you buy a Cipo bike you get a free trip to the factory & a personal fitting overseen by the man himself0

They did have a little falling out when Cavendish overtook Cip in a TT just using one leg to pedal. It was deemed to be disrespectful. However I think Cavendish apologised for being a divot and things were smoothed over0

That incident was taken out of context, what Cav was implying was that they were both on a go easy day, saving themselves for the sprints and it got misconstrued, so he apologised.0 -
Good old Cipo! Never backward at coming forward with an apt comment!'Google can bring back a hundred thousand answers. A librarian can bring you back the right one.'

“Cases like Riccò and Di Luca were only a matter of small motors trying to improve their engines. Riccò is not Pantani, but Contador is of another calibre.
Interesting quote. He's got a point on one things, but he really doesn't grasp evolutionary science. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0
