road bike sizeing (help please!!!!)

im 17 looking 4 a new road bike for christmas but i understand sizeing is different to the mountain bikes im use too. im a competitive xc rider and know a fair about mtb but i have no clue when it comes to road bikes. im 6,1ft and inside leg of 35 inch will this bike fit ?

also will this be suitable for starting off getting into some competitive raceing with i am a student and dont have the money to be spending on a new reasonable spec one but will this do ?

I'd imagine a 54" frame to be a little too small.
I'm 6'1" with 32" leg and ride a 56, although I was seriously thinking about 58 before trying a few bikes.
Your body is shorter than mine so the reach from saddle to bars is shorter meaning you could be OK on this bike. However I wouldn't suggest parting with you cash unless you are sure of the size, however much of a bargain it looks.
I'd really suggest you going to a bike shop and sitting on a few road bikes, if possible take some for a spin, work out the size you need then start hunting down the right bike.0 -
