How do I stop it coming into nauseating life every time my cursor comes within a mile of it and chip chip chipping away at my soul?

Don't know but I ended up with music blaring out yesterday in work and trying to work out where it had come from!
  • I've invested time in configuring Ad blockers on Firefox (including the hidden links they don't think you can find). I can't remember how many Ads there are on bikeradar (just know there were lots) because I haven't seen them for months.

    Nothing motivates like excess :)
  • Interesting side note. This site scans your entries and will substitute its own text into your message. In this case the name of a well known Ad-Block(er) with the following:
**Nobody likes ads but they pay for the site so please have the class not to whine about them**
    .

    Quite classy really:

Cut-and -paste editing from the vendors pamphlets, which is then pawned off as journalism. Sorry folks, they aren't reviews they're.....a fail.

Interfering with an individual's post. I love the irony

Saturation advertisement to the point where there is more advertisements than anything. And the next largest contribution are the user forums  Even an apathetic b*****d like me was sufficiently motivated to do something about it.

Bikeradar criticising anyone else based on "class" .... not very classy

It's ironic really, T-Mobile are messing up other less-intrusive adverts by driving people to look for blocking software. The consumer will probably put up with less-obtrusive ads without a second thought, make it too blatant and unsubtle, and we all go looking in the Firefox and Chrome extensions. I reckon that other advertisers have good cause to be hacked off about T-Mobile.
  • It's an annoying ad isn't it? Stupid T-Mobile.

I installed the QuickJava add-on for Firefox, which allows me to switch Javascript, Flash and other stuff off temporarily. After doing that the ad can be targeted with an Adblock Plus filter (another Firefox add-on) to block it, then I can turn Flash or whatever back on.

Sorry BikeRadar, I know these ads are for income, but that one was particularly offensive because the soundtrack switched back on every time the cursor rolled over it, despite there being a check box to turn it off – I don't mind it happiening first time round but once switched off the sound should stay off.
