Most winter commuting is on road, dark in the winter. So surely REAR light is the most important one, makes you live longer.

Which is the brightest ?

I haven't found anything better than Cateye TL LD 1100, got two of those before I lost one ....

Anything better?

This has been asked and answered many times in the past month, take a quick look back at past threads.

There are at least three previous threads all with differing info.

All I would add is that one light front or rear is not enough, if one fails with dead batteries, moisture you are in trouble, I have five RSPs rear and 6 front lights.

The brightest rear light will be a dinotte 400R

I personally use a MagicShine MJ-818 which is a 3w light and will blow must things out of the water.

The cateye is good if you want visibility from the sides, but it's not what i would class as a bright rear light.
