Left over, left over cottage pie. Thatched with cheese, with gravy.

    Nom nom nom.

Why not? Besides it's what the Mrs left me in the fridge - I just eat what I'm given

No. I have no idea what a pate sandwich is.
  • Ahh the nuance of the circumflex and the acute accent.

Meat/fish paste , you know, liver pate, crab pate, Ardennes pate.......

I'm too thick to know how to use accents
  • Ditto, which is why I went down the examples route.

I bought some excellent cornichons from the market the other day actually.

Anyone else find the ones you get in the UK are usually to weak to handle a good proper pâté?

(Pross, I just googled Pate and copied and pasted the correct version)

There are several good ones near me, saltfish fritter and dumpling, lovely. Today though I have a slow roasted tomato and rocket pasta from Tescos finest range and a peach yoghurt and an orange juice to wash it all down.

Nothing - I'm building up my appetite for when my girlfriend cooks me pork chops in mustard tonight. We really need a licking lips emoticon.

Sounds good guys, (apart from Johnfinch, who is clearly a wuss).

I ended up with an M&S 3 bean wrap as well as a cheese & onion sandwich.

I was tempted by the mexican burrito in the mexican nextdoor, but twice in as many days is probably not cool.

No. I have no idea what a pate sandwich is.

It's what you end up with when your potted meat's on the turn....

BTW, Tuna salad, orange juice and a Muller Yog for me today.

In the end my sandwich had corned beef not pate - don't you just love surprises?

I feel a bit rough after the Mars bar. How's everyone else's lunch settling?

This is not a surprise, this indicates that someone really does NOT like you.

Now where's that sick emoticon?

I managed a couple of peanut butter sandwiches at about 3:30pm.

Ah, why did you mention peanut butter? I fancy some on toast now but finished the jar a couple of days ago - will have to add it to the wife's shopping list now!

A big fat fried egg sarnie. Two door stops of crusty white loaf, two big eggs from the local farm and...to be a bit wild...brown sauce. Very nice but I think it will be ketchup next time.

Might just crack open a bottle of Hook Norton Double Stout to wash it down :)
  • Warm bread and olives.
