What size tyres do you have on your road bike?

After finally going from 700x23c to 700x20c this Autumn, then a couple of weeks later we're hit by ridiculous snow / ice I've decided to get some fatter tyres.
Though stupidly, I just made the rash decision to get some 700x32c off CRC for £5.40 each, to realise 5 minutes later they might not fit on my road bike (OCR4). All is not lost though as I know they'll fit on the fixie I have which has 700c wheels on a old frame built for 27 inch wheels. Or worst comes to the worst I can just stick them on eBay.
I've just seen some more tyres on CRC that are 28c width, now I'm scratching my head whether to buy these as they might not fit either.
Anyone have any experiences with this type of thing? Or have made similar mistakes in the past?

I run 23s. 20s are too thin, and I can only just fit Crud Roadracers over 23s, so 25s wouldn't fit. 23s seem to work quite nicely anyway.0

As a pointer, the 23 in 700 x 23C or 23-622 refers to the tyre's profile, not width.
The profile is the distance from the outer most point of the tread to the rim seating diameter.
The profile does not always equal the tyre's width, but it usually does.0
