not really a 'course' as such, but if you want the Quantocks, then parking at Triscombe Stone then taking the drove road west along the ridge/spine of the Quantocks will give you a flavour of rinding in the area without any real scary bits.Falcon Sierra - 80's

Thanks - that might be a good place to start!
I'm looking for some tuition really, just to build a bit of confidence early on. In a group, preferably!0 -
Not really a course as such but there is a regular group leaving The Crown in Churchill every Tuesday and Thursday 18:30ish. Although this is a mixed group of abilities they dont mind offering advice, chatting, hints and tips on a ride.

That sounds good if you can cope with a total beginner!0

There are a few very hardcore bikers in the group, a bigger bunch of people who just enjoy getting out when they can and then another group who dip in and out of the group (like me) depending on work and other commitments.
Sometimes the group splits up if some want a harder ride than the others, other times we all stick together and just get out across the Mendips

Keep an eye on www.mbswindon.co.uk as we'll be offering beginner/intermediate courses again this year in the Spring/Summer.
Last year they were totally free, this year there might be a small charge but lots cheaper than commercial organisations and the money goes to a good cause (the upkeep of our own trail which you are free to ride anytime you're passing).
Not too far from Bristol. Fully qualified instructors. My guide to navigating using the Garmin Edge 800

Oh, I can also do private tuition (fully qualified instructor) if you can't wait. However, I'm hoping we'll get the MBSwindon course dates up on the website in January and we'll make sure there are some early in the season (probably March) for those keen to get started. My guide to navigating using the Garmin Edge 800
