Hi
Does anyone have any experience of buying a bike from Canyon ? I am about to part with my hard earned cash so if you have any advise I would be interested.

Thanks
Gavin

Not had experience but they do now have a UK contact centre and from what I've heard they are very good. The only thing I've heard that is a bit negative is if you need to change the spec of a bike eg different length stem then you need to take delivery of the bike with the standard stem then arrange a swap and pay around 20 euros.
The other issues I've heard are predominately from buyers in USA and Canada where Canyon do not have support in place.
I'm sure there will be a few others along to give you more/better info.

I'm hoping to get an Ultimate CF 9.0 in 2011so if you're buying just now I'm jealous - what model are you after?

    No there Shoot.

Only joking as now everyones buying one,so mines less rare

Bought mine in germany if your not use to the german way of business it may be abit of a pain. ie one person takes the order someone else bills you 2-3 days later. But they did let me buy tax free as i'm in the forces and that in its self is a bit of a pain and they were fine with it. They now have a uk part of the business which will help no end. In short they were good but then again my german missus did the leg work.

The worst bit about buying from Canyon is the wait if its not in stock !! I waited about 6 weeks for mine.

But it was well worth the wait. I bought a Ultimate CF frame n fork when the TDF was on.

Cant fault Canyon for their Customer Service, a joy to deal with.

Buy one you wont regret it.

  • Thanks all for the help.
I am not sure which model to go for yet.
I am not sure if I should go for a new 2011 model or a 2010 model from the outlet. Does anyone know when they say "Bike with slight, but visible signs of wear and tear" on the bikes for sale in the outlet section are they worth buying or have they had too much hammer ?

    Thanks
