Evans are selling a bike and stating it as 5.95kg. Impressive! Expensive!

I'm looking at that post in conjunction with your avatar and getting a very unpleasant image :shock:0 -
Yeah - manufacturer's stated weights need to be taken with a pinch of salt mind - that'll be for a size small, before they've painted it, without water bottle bolts etc etc...
Still, yes, very light and very expensive!Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -
5.95kg............... pah !!!!
How about 3.12kg............... http://www.light-bikes.com/bikegallery/BikeListing.asp?id=1507Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Go to the weight weenies site.
5.95kg will seem heavy!0 -
most of those bikes seem to have some kind of diminished capacity. not safe imo.0

That is quite light considering it uses the (relatively) heavy Shimano Di2 system.
Also surprising as it is a pro-level bike and would need to be weighed down to reach the 6.8kg UCI minimum weight.*
But good for the overly wealthy weekend racer!
(I've been to UCI races and they DO weigh bikes sometimes!)0 -
That seems surprisingly light as neither Di2 or the wheels are especially light I didn't think - I reckon that probably is for a size small, unpainted, without pedals etc. etc. and even though the finishing kit must be ruddy light!0
