i thought it was pretty interesting
i was in the engineer museum armoury today investigating something they have in there and saw the original VC medals awarded to 30 or so royal engineers, one of them (the most recent) was awarded to sgt durrant.
he was involved in the raid on st nazaire and his actions were so brave he was actually recommended for the medal by the german commander who ended up capturing him.
very legendary, very humbling, extremely hard as nails bloke.

twas strange to see that show last night, then to be discussing it with the lads at work today then to actually see the original medal in the flesh (the displayed ones are replicas)0

incredibly brave blokes, apparently all were given the chance to walk away from the mission as it was completely off it's tits but none did.0 -
Brilliant programme. Sailed into St Nazaire on a mates yacht bloody difficult navigation even when its daylight and people arent throwing things at you. They were the best of the best.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Best documentary I've watched for a while. Clarkson told it well i though. Those guys had some serious gonads to do what they did.0
