How do you work out brake rotor size for replacement ?

Hi

How do you measure your rotors if wanting to replace them ?

    measure the diameter? i think that's how it's done :D

    It says on all rotors on the outside of the rotor, usually somewhere enar the centre but not always. OR you can measure the diameter of the disc. Look and see how it is held onto the hub, either with 6 bolts or with a spline and lockring like on a cassette. If it has bolts, it is a 6-bolt, if it has a lockring, then it is a centre-lock disc from shimano.

    1. Calculate the area of the rotor
    2. Divide this by pi
    3. Then take the square root of this
    4. Finally, double the answer to 3.
